Exporting data

Learn which types of Shopify data you can export with Duplify and how to select them.

With Duplify, you can choose the types of data that you want to copy from your source store to your destination stores. This allows you to run full migrations or export only specific parts of your store, depending on your needs.

Before you start, make sure your source and destination stores are connected. Learn more about Connecting stores.

Selecting content to export

After you connect stores and click Connect, you can select from a list of data categories available for export. You can do the following:

  • Use the checkboxes to select the data you want to export. The number of each category that's been selected displays next to the category title.

  • Select how to handle any duplicates in the destination store:

    • Update: update duplicates with new export data

    • Create: create a new copy

    • Ignore: skip existing items

  • Set up filters to be more specific with what you want to export.

  • Toggle metafields off or on.

  • For Products and Collections, you can toggle Auto sync on or off on the next page. By default, auto sync is off.

When you’re ready, click Activate plan and export, and proceed to the billing page to finish subscribing.

Duplify processes the export in the background, and you receive an email notification when it’s complete.
