# Pricing and plans

To use Duplify, your plan is based on the items you choose to export. When you create your first export, the appropriate plan for your selected export is displayed. Plan tiers are based on the total number of [export events](https://support.duplifyapp.com/using-duplify/export-events) per export job.

You only need to pay for Duplify on your source store, even if you install the app on multiple destination stores. Exports to multiple destination stores are included in the source store’s plan at no extra cost.

## Choosing a plan tier

### Choose a tier from the Billing page

You can choose a plan tier at any time from the **Billing** page.

**Note**

If you're on a legacy Duplify plan, you can stay on your current plan, or you can switch to the new pricing structure from the **Billing** section.

**Steps:**

1. From the Duplify dashboard, click **Billing**.
2. Click and drag the slider up and down to see each plan tier and its [export event limits](#plan-tier-overview).
3. Click **Activate plan**.
4. Enter your billing details and click **Subscribe**.

You're now subscribed the the plan tier of your choice.

### Choose a tier while exporting

You can choose a plan tier while in the process of performing a store export. For this method, make sure you've [connected your stores](https://support.duplifyapp.com/using-duplify/connecting-stores), and proceeded to **Start a full export.**

**Steps:**

1. On the new export page, select the items to export. The plan tier required for your selection is displayed next to your selection.
2. Optional: Deselect items to drop into a lower plan tier.
3. Click **Activate plan and export**. 
4. Enter your billing details and click **Subscribe**.

Your export is initiated and you're notified by email when it's complete.

**Note**

Duplify recommends a plan tier based on the number of items you’ve selected to export. If you want a lower-tier plan, then you can deselect some items before exporting.

## Changing plan tiers

You can adjust your plan tier at any time. Use the **Billing** tab to find your current plan's overview and a slider that you can use to see what plan tier best fits your current or planned usage. 

You can also click **View all tiers** to see a side-by-side comparison of all the plan tiers.

Tier upgrades are recommended automatically when you exceed your plan export event limit.

**Steps:**

1. From the Duplify dashboard, click **Billing**.
2. Click and drag the slider to the plan size you need.
3. Review the plan details and click **Activate plan**.
4. Enter your billing details.
5. Click **Subscribe**.

Your store's [export events](https://support.duplifyapp.com/using-duplify/export-events) are reset 30 days after your purchase, enabling you to export additional items or use the auto-sync feature to keep your stores up-to-date.

The following is an overview of all the plan tiers and their export event limits.

## Exceeding your export events limit

If your job's export events exceeds the amount of events included in your plan tier, then you need to upgrade to the next plan tier to fit your export.&#x20;

**Example**\
The **Starter** plan includes 50 product export events per job. If your product export total in a single job reaches 51, then you need to upgrade to the **Growth** plan to export the number of products you selected.
