# Creating a backup

Before Duplify can start creating your automatic weekly backups, you need to run your first backup. This initial backup captures your products, themes, and pages so Duplify has a starting point to work from.

The process only takes a few minutes, depending on your store size, and once it’s done, your weekly backups run automatically in the background.

You can view and manage these backups anytime from the **Backups** page.

#### Trigger a backup manually

Backups run automatically every week, and you can also manually trigger additional backups within that period if needed.

2. Click **Backup now**.

The backup begins, and you can review the backup when it's finished.
