A published theme is the theme used on your live online store. This can be a custom theme, a third-party theme from the Shopify Theme Store, or one of Shopify's free themes. Duplify can export your published theme files, including all customizations.

Options

Duplify can export all the images required for the theme, set the exported theme to be live on the destination store, or change the state to draft mode after the export.

Theme editor images

  • Check this option to include all the images and media associated with the theme.

Set the state of the theme in the destination store

  • Once the export is completed, Duplify can set the exported theme as the current live theme or place it in the drafts list, allowing you to make adjustments before publishing.

Third-party themes

Each store will require theme licensing. Once you have exported a paid theme, please ensure that you obtain new licensing by 'installing it' from the theme store again.

Third-party apps

If a third-party app is involved in your theme, that content will not be exported due to restrictions and limitations within Shopify.

Export Events

Duplify determines the size of your source store's export by tracking export events, each representing one data item or file.

Published theme Export Events A published theme is counted as 50 export events plus content files, which are required.

  • 1 active theme = 50 export events + Content files (1 export event per file)

Your selected plan provides a specific number of monthly export events. Each plan offers a generous amount of points for export events. See pricing and for more details.

Be sure to check out our detailed for a complete list of all export events.
